Dr. Chiranjibi Bhattarai is an environment, community and human rights activist focusing on climate change, socio-environmental justice, disaster risk management, food security, local governance and social accountability sectors. Over the past two decades, his work centered on right based advocacy, publication, drafting of legal and policy instruments, and project design and management. He has authored, co-authored and edited more than dozen books and published several articles and policy papers. His Ph.D. is on socio-environmental justice in Nepal’s current constitution, post-graduation in sociology and political science, and graduated with a law degree.
