Ms. Manisha Subedi
General Secretary: NWCF; Executive Director: Plan & Risk Consulting
Manisha is a climate change adaptation and disaster risk management expert with more than ten years of experience. Her key areas of work are community based adaptation, local DRRM planning and in integrating GESI considerations into CCA and DRRM. She has been serving the executive board of Nepal Water Conservation Foundation (NWCF) since 2007. Currently she is NWCF’s General Secretary. She also works as Executive Director for Plan8 Risk Consulting.
Manisha’s past engagement includes working with Jagaran Nepal and the National Society for Earthquake Technology (NSET). While at Jagaran she managed programs on community based adaptation, livelihood and conducted researches on climate change adaptation and led various advocacy campaigns on climate change justice, women empowerment and inclusion. At NSET, she worked with multiple earth scientists and social scientists on the Earthquake without Frontiers project in carrying out interdisciplinary earthquake risk management researches targeting policy makers in Tibet (China), Nepal and Bihar (India).
Manisha holds Master’s Degree in Botany (Ecology) from Tribhuvan University and has been a graduate of the Immersion Course on Social and Contemporary Issues. She is currently pursuing Executive Masters’ degree in Disaster Risk and Crisis Management from Asian Institute of Management (AIM), the Philippines.
